A festive Christmas program of traditional carol arrangements by John Rutter, David Willcocks, and Ralph Vaughan Williams; featuring organist Christopher Stroh. Accompanying the carols is a reading of Dylan Thomas's A Child's Christmas in Wales, narrated by Classical KING FM host Dave Beck. A family-friendly event, join us this holiday season for an evening of carols and storytelling.

*Due to unforeseen circumstances, our original reader Lin Wilson will not be joining us. In his place, we are delighted to welcome Dave Beck as the reader for the event.

Dave Beck joined Listener Supported Classical KING in 2013.  He is Chief Content Officer at the station and midday host.  For 28 years Dave was an award–winning producer, interviewer and host at KUOW Public Radio. His national and regional broadcast honors include the Public Radio News Directors Incorporated (PRNDI) Award for Best Interview and the Society of Professional Journalists Northwest Regional Excellence Award. An active musician (cellist) as well as broadcaster, Dave was a founding member of the Auburn Symphony Orchestra and played in the orchestra for 25 years. He has been principal cellist of the Bellevue Philharmonic and Seattle Philharmonic Orchestras. Dave is past president of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras board of directors and has served since 2009 as pre-concert speaker for the Cascade Symphony Orchestra.  A University of Washington graduate, his cello teachers have included Toby Saks, Raymond Davis and Cordelia Wikarski-Miedel.
